Materials: The machine is made from cast aluminum and because of this has a rough texture. The roller wheels are made from hard grade cutting board grade plastic and fitted on a tempered steel rod. The plastic wheels help keep the cutting wheel sharp, and help reduce maintenance on the machine. Aluminum roller wheels can be purchased for an additional fee.

Operating Speed: Depends on the speed of your drill

Drill requirements: Any size drill will work in this machine; we send a drill adapter with each purchase. A variable speed drill works best.

Blade details: The blade is made from hardened tool steel and is about as sharp as a good hunting knife. Our blade will strip between 3000 and 5000 lbs of wire depending on what type of wire you strip.

General operation and other details: The machine requires two hands to operate, one hand to run the drill and the other to feed the wire through. The blade must be cranked down onto each new size of wire. The machine can be held in a vice, or bolted to any surface. This wire stripping machine can strip any wire from 14 gauge to 500 MCM, and it comes with a custom made wheel for cutting Romex. It cuts braided (stranded) wire, and extension cord wire, but extension cord wire is a little more difficult to strip. The drill will pull the wire through but some wire may need a little help.
